Davido Raises 151 Million Naira In A Day For Birthday But God Is Asking For Too Much As Tithe

Award-winning Nigerian singer David Adeleke (a.k, a Davido) has raised more than N181. 8 million after he shared his account details on his social media platforms on Wednesday, 17 November 2021.

This caused a stir on the internet with a quick response from friends and supporters of the celebrity singer in minutes he already had millions rolling in.

As seen on his official Instagram handle @davido, his bank details as of Friday showed a total sum of  N181, 838, 433. 962 in his account.

The global star after opening a Wema Bank account on Wednesday posted it on all his social media platforms and called on his friends to donate one million nairas each ahead of his 29th birthday which is Nov. 19.

He wrote: “If you know I’ve given you a hit song…send me money… una know una selves ooo,” he initially wrote on instagram before adding his account details, “David Adeleke.”

“Omo N7m in 10 minutes keep goin!! I love y’all! aim na N100m, I wan clear my Rolls Royce from port abeg.”

“I know say una love me but una love me like this. Omo nah like joke I start this thing oh, N26m,” he wrote.

However, this in no way shows that the singer is in lack or broke, he might as well not make use of the money and give it to charity later on.  Davido is blessed in his area of affluence and influence at his tender age, so it is not about the money for him, I believe.

But, what would have been the reaction of people if it were to be a Pastor that made such demand? People will come for him and call him all manner of names, castigate him and remind him of how they knew when he started serving God.

It would surprise you that majority of the donors are Christians just like the singer and are devout to their faith. Christians are the first to castigate giving to Clerics and pastors or churches,  but when a socialite makes such demands it becomes a good trend.

The enemy is robbing believers of the benefits and the importance of tithing and it would surprise you that majority of these celebrities pay their dues.
