The US Is ‘Wide Open’ For Terror Attack From Iran – John Hagee

A well-known American pastor has issued a warning, claiming that the US may experience a terror attack like to the one that Hamas launched on Israel earlier this month.

In an appearance on Fox News’ “Life, Liberty & Levin” on Sunday, Pastor John Hagee of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, said “there will never be reconciliation” between warring sides in the perpetual Middle East conflict as he discussed the war in Israel and Gaza that began when Hamas launched terror attacks there earlier this month.

Hagee, who also serves as founder and chairman of Christians United for Israel, warned that something similar to the Oct. 7 attack could take place in the U.S.

“I think there’s something that the American people need to think about,” he said. “Iran was the mastermind behind this war and Hamas were the ground troops.”

Noting how Iran refers to the U.S. as “the great Satan” and Israel as “the little Satan,” Hagee asked, “What is to stop Iran, those masterminds who planned that, from planning a similar plan for the United States of America and using the people who have come across our southern borders for a similar event to happen in this nation?”

Hagee suggested that the Chinese spy balloon that traversed the U.S. earlier this year enabled China, another U.S. adversary, to learn “where all of our military equipment and machinery and rockets and bases are.”

“This nation, the United States of America, is wide open for the same thing that Israel experienced, and believe me, they hate us to the core and would be delighted to do it,” he remarked, referring to Iran and other U.S. adversaries.

As Hagee alluded to in his comments, statistics from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection reveal that 169 individuals on the Terrorist Screening Dataset were apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border in fiscal year 2023, which concluded on Sept. 30.

Overall, fiscal year 2023 saw 2,475,669 encounters between illegal immigrants and law enforcement at the Southwest border. This figure surpasses the record 2,378,944 border crossings recorded in fiscal year 2022.

Last Monday, Texas DPS director Steve McCraw spoke with members of the Texas House State Affairs committee about border apprehension of individuals “from special interest countries,” including Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and Jordan, attempting to enter the U.S., McCraw said.

In addition to expressing concern about the possibility of a terror attack on U.S. soil, Hagee addressed the narratives at the heart of the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict that underpinned the violence in Israel. He also pushed back on the oft-repeated claim that the Jewish people are “occupying Jerusalem” and the surrounding area and that such lands “belong to Arabs and Palestinians.”

“The idea that this land does not belong to Israel is simply a concoction of people who are surrendering to an ideology that’s completely false.”

“The fact is there is a God and that God is a Creator,” Hagee added. “That God in Genesis … created the Heavens and the Earth. Since He creeded the Heavens and the Earth, He is the owner, and as owner, He has rights. And He, as owner, has given to the Jewish people, the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, their covenant with them that they should own this land forever.”

Explaining that the “covenant is recorded in the Bible more than 20 times,” Hagee stressed that “it remains their property to this day.” He added, “That covenant with God has never been broken and it still stands.”

“The people who are saying the land does not belong to Israel do not believe in the God of Heaven and they do not believe the Bible has the Word of God,” Hagee concluded. Hagee also warned that the historic sites in Israel that date back to the time of Jesus Christ and even earlier would “disappear” if the state of Israel did not exist.

Hagee, who visits Israel at least once a year, detailed how “every few days, archaeologists in Israel are digging up memorabilia of treasures that are thousands of years in age written in Hebrew with the name of Hebrew rulers on those documents as proof positive that thousands of years ago, the seed of Abraham occupied this territory.”

“There is no such thing as the two-state solution,” Hagee insisted. “Hamas worships death. We have seen that in these past few days in a pattern that is the most vicious thing that humanity has seen since the Holocaust.”

Hagee contrasted Hamas with the Jewish people, whom he described as “people who pursue life.” Identifying life and death as “polar opposites,” Hagee asserted that “there will never be reconciliation between radical Islam and Judaism.”
