Be Devoted | To God, To Man, To Work & Society

Devotion is an utmost requirement in the journey of life. No man who puts his hands on the plough and looks back is fit for the Kingdom. This article is about the importance of devotion in the Christian journey.

To God;

It takes more than a just confession to benefit from a cordial relationship. Confessions are not enough to make it work although it’s a good tool, but, there is more.  Everyone that has been a part of a successful system knows that there is a need for absolute devotion and commitment. 

In the Bible, God worked with men who were devoted to the course and fulfilment of His Purpose. God will always require a commitment to have a good working relationship with a man. His word say abide in me and I in you Abide in me, and I in you – John 1:5a

He brings to perfect peace whose ind is stayed on you ISAH 26:3 

To benefit from the price of redemption and salvation is to be devoted to God and His word.  God is not mocked, he wouldn’t force a relationship if you’re not willing. He can only beckon you to come but if you’re stiff-necked He will not force you. 

To Man;

Just as the Creator requires absolute devotion from mankind, so does man. Every relationship that works demands commitment and sacrifice and that’s a product of devotion. No working relationship thrives on negligence, you must be devoted.

To Work;

Just as God and Man require devotion for a successful relationship, so does work.  Work requires a lot of sacrifices to make it a success. Nonchalance to work never gives the desired result. Every Successful Business Empire is at the premise of optimum devotion. It takes that relentless effort to be the best in that chosen field of endeavour. Lukewarmness and laziness have never made any business become great. If you want to be the best you must pay the price.

To Society;

We cannot neglect the demands of society at large because it is part of what makes us who we are. The environment can either make or mar you. So a deliberate effort must be put in place to create a suitable society for a man to live in. Hostile and polluted society gives birth to nuisance and miscreants in society.

Somebody must take responsibility to ensure there is a safe haven for breeding and raising children and also for living on a daily basis.

A Good Believer must be devoted to God, Man, Work and Society and the world would be a better place.
