Popular Pastors Who Were Divorced And Still In Ministry
Following the recent events and happenings in the body of Christ, pertaining to the issue of marriage, divorce and abuse in marriages, the need for this article arose. There is no doubt the enemy is also trying to take advantage of this season to profane the sanctity and purity of God’s established union called marriage.

Satan knows that the source of every Nation is the home and marriage is an institution that carries the burden of making one. When a home is in order society benefits from the fruits thereof. A broken and destroyed home most likely produces a broken and destroyed community. So in light of this, let us be mindful of the devices of the enemy, MARRIAGES STILL WORK, AND THERE ARE MANY OF SUCH OUT THERE…
There are lots of doctrines and teachings concerning the issue of marriage and thus even the clerics that carry these messages do not all end up with a successful home. Before we proceed, let’s share scriptures that talk about divorce and its consequences
What Does The Bible Say About Divorce?
Matthew 5:31-32
31 “It has been said, ‘Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’ 32 But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
Malachi 2:16
16 “The man who hates and divorces his wife,” says the LORD, the God of Israel, “does violence to the one he should protect,” says the LORD Almighty. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful.
1 Corinthians 7:11-15
11 But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife. 12 To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. 13 And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. 14. For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband; for otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. Yet if the unbeliever leaves, let it be so. The brother or the sister is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace.
What Does The Bible Say About Divorce?
Matthew 19:9 (ESV)
And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.
Deuteronomy 22: 28=29
28 ¶ If a man find a damsel that is virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; 29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.
Matthew 19: 4-6
4. Jesus answered, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ 5and said, ‘For this reason, a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? 6. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”
Meditate on the above scriptures and you will understand God’s stand on divorce. This article I simply an eye-opener, Jesus only referred to divorce and remarriage as ADULTERY. Except on the ground of infidelity. And He note, He never mentioned this as the only reason. And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery. Matthew 19:9 (ESV)
