A job interview is a formal discussion that occurs throughout the hiring process between a job candidate and a potential employer. A job interview serves the objective of assessing a candidate’s abilities, knowledge, and suitability for the position, as well as their compatibility with the company’s culture and values.

The company may interrogate the applicant about their background, professional experience, talents, and education during a job interview. Additionally, the applicant can be requested to give examples of their prior work and to discuss specific scenarios that might occur on the job.

There are numerous ways to conduct a job interview, including in-person, over the phone, on video, and in a group setting. The interview’s structure will be determined by

HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN YOUR JOB INTERVIEW 

1. PREPARATION: You must prepare for every interview you are about to attend days or weeks ahead. When preparation meets opportunity success is in view. Without preparation, it will be an error to blame God for the failures of your interview.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A JOB INTERVIEW?

• PRAY – Engage God in prayer before you embark on your interviews days before going. Once you have secured a date for the interview, pray towards it. You have handled the spiritual aspect that way.
• STUDY: You must make due diligence and research on possible areas that you may be questioned about. ¹⁵ Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. – 2 Tim. 2:15
• FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS: Every interview has its rules and regulations, dos and don’ts you must adhere to, even after praying if you disobey the instructions you are up for an unlikely outcome. Whatever the interviewer demands such as documents, or files should be adhered to. Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams” (1 Sam. 15:22).
• PUNCTUALITY: When you are to attend an interview, get to the venue early, and be composed or relaxed even before the scheduled time. When you arrive late, you are destabilized and rusty. Please Rise Up early!!

2. BE CONFIDENT AND POSITIVE: This is also quite crucial if we want to succeed in job interviews. Your faith may enable the impossible, and your self-assurance can go a long way toward helping you land the job at the interview. Believe fervently in yourself and in God. Stay positive, after your interview and expect a call and a piece of good news.

1. Thank You Lord for life and strength to see this beautiful day – Day unto day uttereth speech, And night unto night showeth knowledge. 2. Thank You Lord for the opportunity of a new job and the privilege to be invited for an interview – 14 So Pharaoh sent for Joseph, who was quickly brought out of the dungeon. After he had shaved and changed his clothes, he went in before Pharaoh. – Gen 41: 14

3. Oh Lord, favour me before my interviewers, let me find favour and let them see the Glory of GOD in me – And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. – Luke 2: 52

4. Oh Lord help me, before, during and after the course of my interview in Jesus name – I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, From whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, Which made heaven and earth. Psalm 121: 1-2

5. Oh Lord give me the wisdom and understanding to answer and address every question I will be asked at the interview in Jesus Name – Daniel 9: 2

Only with regard to the throne will I be greater than you – Gen 41: 39-40

7. I receive the spirit of excellence and whatever I do will prosper in Jesus Name –  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalm 1: 1-3

8. Lord remove every form of stumbling block and obstruction on my way to success in the name of Jesus. –
