What The Bible Says About ‘Chanting’ (Scriptual Reference)
There is a new trend in the body of Christ where gospel singers write songs that are not more than 2 lines and even sometimes one phrase to be sung repeatedly. This art of singing has resonated with many due to the melodic, harmonious, and spiritual vibe these songs carry. We are in the season of fewer lyrics and more emphasis on the presence and fire a song carries. This phenomenon is what is referred to as ‘CHANTING IN THE SPIRIT’

With this definition, we can tell that it is a regular practice, but what does it mean when it comes to the spiritual side of it?
What Does The Bible Say About Chanting?
When it comes to the word of God, the Bible, many words are not included under the revolution of the English language but their meanings are solidly represented. The concept of chanting is not alien to the Angelsas the bible records in REV.4:8
REVELATION 4l8
8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying:
“‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,’[a] who was, and is, and is to come.”
Just as the phrase reads ‘Day and night they never stop saying’ by the definition, you will understand that the Angels are chanting the same sentence; “‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,’[a] who was, and is, and is to come.”
Thus, if you are looking for proof that the concept is biblical, there you have it. The difference here is the choice of words and that is because of the use of English words at the time of writing the English bible.
The Bible never clearly mentioned certain words such as Trinity, but the concept is Biblical. GOD (FATHER), JESUS CHRIST (SON) AND HOLY SPIRIT. Looking at 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Is Chanting A Demonic Practice?
No! No! No!, Chanting is not a demonic practice or spiritism, it is a medium of communication in the realm of the spirit but not copied from the devil. The devil rather copied this mechanism from Heaven and used it on Earth more than the believers did.

This is why many people have attached the origin of this practice to him, but that is wrong. Chanting is a Heavenly Practice, as we read in Revelations 4:8. Remember, he is a fallen angel and all he knew God taught him.
Jesu Christ in His word, the children of this world are wiser in their ways than the children of Light! The same goes for engaging the tools of the Kingdom and obeying scriptural and spiritual laws.
Is Chanting Also A Spiritual Song?
Yes, the concept of spiritual songs had no definition due to the uniqueness and vastness of God’s spirit. As long as it aligns with God’s word and it is to the Glory of His name, it is a spiritual song. The Bible speaks in Colossians 3:16: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God. Remember, from the English meaning it could also be a loud noise, or shout without a melody in mind, as long as it is repeated, it is Chanting.
You may ask, Why the distinction between Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual songs? The spiritual songs there is an open check to how much encounter and dimensions we are willing to access. Just like the tongues we speak, a syllable is spoken repeatedly means different things in the realm of the spirit. Chanting is highly spiritual and is effective for spiritual communication and results. IT IS NOT OF THE DEVIL!!!
Conclusion
Chanting is in the bible and gets its roots from the angels. the word Chanting might not be written categorically in the English bible, but the concept is purely biblical. It is a means of communication and emphasis in the realm of the spirit. Anyone who is a Christian that calls it voodoo practice is either ignorant or unwise.
