A 50-Man Workshop For Gospel Ministers Has Been Announced By Nathaniel Bassey 

Renowned Nigerian worship leader and songwriter Nathaniel Bassey spreads the good news by announcing a free workshop for 50+ Gospel music ministers.

ABOUT NATHANIEL BESSEY 

Pastor Nat, as he is known to his fans, had an unusual affinity for jazz from the start. After becoming interested, he began studying the music of jazz greats like Louis Armstrong, Miles Davies, Clifford Brown, Charlie Parker, Stan Getz and Kirk Whalum, Phil Driscoll, and Hugh Masakela by listening to, imitating, and playing along with their recordings. Later, his enthusiasm for Jazz would lead him to seek out similar ensembles. After that, he teamed up with some old pals to form Lagos’s premier jazz quartet, Spectrum 4.

Elder Steve Rhodes, a legendary figure in the Nigerian jazz and music scene, approached Bassey at the time to conduct the Steve Rhodes Orchestra, widely considered to be the country’s first jazz ensemble.

After leading the group and playing trumpet for two years, he moved on to other musical endeavours. He played the trumpet in a way that was both unique and deeply soulful, and it quickly caught the attention of some of the most influential musicians in the country and beyond.

Many people and institutions have sought out his musical creativity, including: Teemac, Ayo Bankole Jr., Cobhams Asuquo, Wole Oni, Yinka Davies, Adlan Cruise, Funsho Ogundipe, Peter King, Sotiris Papadopoulus, Paul Petersen, The French Cultural Centre, and American International School.

“It’s been on my heart for some time to gather a few very serious music ministers. Both established and emerging and just share some serious stuff. Things God has helped me know and Experience over the years.,” Nathaniel shared on Instagram, “The rate at which I see music ministers get distracted after some level of “success” is alarming. And sometimes it’s because they don’t know any better. To be honest, I’m one that God has helped and keeps helping. And I’d like to share that with others“

“It’s one thing to start well. It’s another to continue and finish well” the “Imela’ singer added at the latter end of the post.

According to Nathaniel Bassey, only 40 music ministers would be allowed to attend the workshop, with 10 spots set aside for ministers he personally oversees and mentors.

The spiritual, musical, financial, social (family and other relationships), behavioural character, vision, planning, and strategic dimensions will all be covered, he added, along with a host of other topics. He promised that more details on the matter were on the way.
