Britain’s Tyson Fury has praised God after retaining his heavyweight boxing world title in a classic fight with Deontay Wilder.

Speaking to BT Sport, the heavyweight boxer said it was Jesus who gave him the strength to continue fighting after he was on the brink of defeat in the fourth round.

“First of all, I would like to say thank you to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. In the mighty name of Jesus on this fight tonight again,” Fury said.

“I was hurt. Wilder’s a strong puncher and he’s a tough man. I was hitting him with some big shots. My Lord and Saviour raised me to my feet tonight to give Him the glory,” he continued.

Fury could also be seen wearing a hat with a caption that reads: “Jesus, the King is coming”.

The enthralling slugfest was more competitive than many expected but still ended as most predicted, with the Briton outboxing the American to remain the undefeated lineal champion.

After losing the WBC belt to Fury 20 months ago in a one-sided bout, Wilder was the aggressor early, using his jab to back up the larger Fury while seizing on every opportunity to throw his powerful right hand.

Fury weathered the early storm and knocked Wilder down in the third round with a short uppercut but the American responded in the fourth, knocking Fury down twice with shots to the head from close range.

But like he did when he was knocked down in the 12th round of their first meeting, Fury absorbed the punishment and picked himself up.

Although down on the scorecards, the fight never felt completely out of reach for Wilder (42-2-1, 41 KOs) due to his right hand but the defensive-minded Fury mostly managed to avoid it.

With the win, Fury (31-0-1) has now taken two of the three meetings between the rivals after the first fight ended in a draw and Fury dominated the second.

“Deontay Wilder’s a top fighter, he gave me a real run for my money. I always said I’m the best in the world and he’s second best.”

“He’s got no love for me because you know why? because I’ve beaten him three times. And he is like: ‘I’m a sportsman. I went over to him to show some love and respect, and he didn’t want to give it back. So that’s his problem. I’ll pray for him so God will soften his heart,” Fury added.

Earlier this year, Fury and wife Paris welcomed a baby girl but she had to be placed into the hospital’s intensive care unit. He said he spent two weeks by her side before she came home but insisted he was in excellent condition.

“Don’t ever doubt me. When the chips are down, I can always deliver,” Fury said.

It is unclear what is next for Fury.

The Bible never mentions dating. Some people think dating is a sin, but the Bible doesn’t say much about it. Dating in its present form did not exist in biblical times. People started arranged marriages, often marrying relatives.

While the word “dating” is never mentioned in the Bible, verses and passages does say what love and a healthy relationship should look like. For these reasons, it can still be used as a model for how to date.

The foundation for marriage is dating and intimate connections. The Bible claims that although we have a right to everything, not everything suits us. Therefore, it is improper for two people to be together and assume the duties of married people until they are united as married couples.

What Does The Bible Say About Dating?

 

Some claim that dating is not sinful as long as the individuals are old enough to understand the relationship’s goals. Although the Bible does not speak directly about dating, it does say much about human relationships, godly association, and principles that apply to dating.

Let’s take a look at these verses that talk about dating. Let these Bible verses back up our argument so you can judge for yourself.

2 Peter 2:20 says that the worldview may be arbitrarily current, but it’s important to discover a person’s character before committing to it.

In 2 Corinthians 6:14-15,  as Christians, we should not marry unbelievers. It weakens our relationship with Christ and jeopardizes our morals and standards.

Matthew 10:37 says whether it’s dating or courtship, when you’re in a committed relationship, never forget to put your love for the Lord above all else.

In John 3:3-8 and Philippians 2:5, we ought to ascertain whether the person has been reborn in the spirit of Christ and whether they have the same aspiration to obey Christ.

Galatians 5:20 and Colossians 3:5  talk about idolatry, a sin to assert or believe that another person is the most important or “everything” in one’s life.

Per 1 Corinthians 6:9, 13; 2 Timothy 2:22, do not defile your body during premarital sex, and 1 Corinthians 6:18 states that sexual immorality is a transgression against our own bodies as well as God.

Romans 12:9-10 says that it is important to love and respect others as we love ourselves.

Dating Boundaries as a Christian

Christian dating boundaries are uncertain. By definition and design, dating is somewhere between friendship and marriage, so Christian men and women are constantly trying to navigate the chaos that uncommitted romance always creates.

God designed the two always to be connected, so it’s hard to know how much romance you’ll indulge in when your commitments are limited.

You should make the most of your dating experience to find out if marriage is in the cards.You should be vulnerable enough for the other person to get to know you well.

However, while dating is not a lifetime commitment like marriage, you still want to avoid becoming overly emotionally involved with someone you might not marry. As a result, you still need to be very careful.

So let us list the boundary categories to consider in Christian dating relationships.

Boundaries around your emotional intimacy

Emotional intimacy is essential in Christian dating. As a Christian, you are called to guard your heart (Proverbs 4:23, NIV). While this is a clear biblical command, it is less clear to keep your heart in check while dating.

The degree of emotional connection should increase as the level of commitment tightens. Broken hearts result from emotional ties without commitment.

Spouses have committed to one of the most significant relationships possible in the world. They should be able to share everything with each other. On the other hand, it would be best if you didn’t divulge everything to your boyfriend or girlfriend because you’re not yet at the highest level of commitment.

Having Boundaries Around Talking About Your Futures Together

Much like your emotions, planning for the future together in a Christian dating experience requires more commitment. Make sure you have healthy boundaries when discussing your future if you want to maintain your emotions and heart in a healthy place when dating.

Boundaries Around Your Expectations

Dating should be fun. And one of the fun parts of dating is the hope it often brings. Hope is the joyful expectation that something good will happen. Our ultimate hope should be in Jesus Christ, but there should be a healthy amount of hope that a dating relationship will lead to marriage.

We need to set limits on our expectations and hopes in Christian relationships. Do not rush in with astronomically high hopes. Ask God to give you healthy, realistic values. List your goals for each Christian dating season and try to balance your emotions and logic.

Dating should be vulnerable. Being closed off and hopeless will ruin the whole experience from the start. You have to be smart too. Postponed hope makes the heart sick. So, to protect your heart, you need to make sure your desired level is appropriate for when your Christian dating relationship actually is.

Boundaries Around Your Sexuality

Sexual boundaries are probably the most common temptation to fall into, so they’re the first thing most people think about. The more difficult element will be defining what constitutes a sexual act and what constitutes a simple display of affection.

Boundaries for Your Words and Promises

Your level of connection and your commitment level must match. If you want to protect your heart, be careful what you say. Don’t tell anyone you love them. Of course, there are different levels of love. But saying “I love you” to someone you’re in a relationship with awakens many things that only people contemplating marriage should wake up to.

Bottom Line

Dating may be gratifying as you get to know others if you, as a Christian, can handle yourself properly and refrain from engaging in sinful activity. However, you will regret dating for the rest of your life if you partake in activities that create sexual desire.

Although the Bible does not specifically mention dating, it does give us many stories of courtship, marriage, and love. All Scripture shows the love Christ has for his people. That’s the kind of love we should emulate in dating and, ultimately, in marriage.

Governor’s Task Force Kills Church Member During Building Demolition – Borno

A task force representative, who accompanied the Borno State Geographical Information System (BOGIS) to demolish the Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa a Nigeria (EYN) church building in Maiduguri shot a worshipper, identified only as Ezekiel, in the chest.

It was reported that there was no dispute as it was the security worker who first started shooting sporadically into the air, to the anger of the church members.

According to eyewitnesses, Ezekiel was shot in the chest by men of the civilian joint task force to the agency, which is directly under the state governor, Prof Babagana Zulum.

“When BOGIS came this morning (Thursday), they came with a bulldozer and started pulling down the roof. The labourers on site started to protest. Meanwhile, the civilian JTF that accompanied the bulldozer and the BOGIS staff had started to shoot into the air.

So, when the labourers started to protest, the CJTF aimed at Ezekiel and shot him in the chest,” Sunday Musa, who claimed to be an eyewitness at the church premises, told Punch.

Another eyewitness, Helen Moyo, said that the CJTF were in Hilux vans, fully armed and that, immediately they alighted from the vans, they headed to where the labourers were and seized their phones.

“Immediately they came down from their vehicles, they headed to the labourers and began seizing their phones. They seized five phones from the labourers so that they will not call anyone,” Moyo said.

Hadiza, also an eyewitness, stated that “When they seized the phones, they intensified the shootings as people were gathering. In an attempt to disperse the people, they shot at others. One boy that was running to safety was hit by a stray bullet in his arm. I don’t know the present condition of that boy now.”

“When the youths of the community gathered after they (CJTF) had shot and killed Ezekiel, they seized two guns from the CJTF guys. The guns were handed over to one of the church officials at the scene,” Hadiza added.

The chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, Borno State chapter, Bishop Mohammed Naga, said the demolition of the EYN church was a surprise to him and the Christian community in the state because before the demolition today, there was no prior information notifying the church of the impending action of the state government.

“There was no demolition notice sent to the church before they came and demolished the structure. They didn’t mark the building either.”

Continuing, Bishop Naga said, “This action takes the number of churches demolished by this administration to four. There were three other churches that were demolished earlier within the state capital.”

SaharaReporters had earlier reported that one person was killed while five others were injured when the Joint Security Taskforce operating with BOGIS stormed the church.

It had been reported that the Borno State governor condemned the shooting and killing of the church member.

The governor ordered the Borno police command to investigate the violent clash.

“That’s why I did,” He said. “And it paid off.”

Later in the video, Washington was asked to name “one of the most important lessons in Hollywood that everyone should know.”

“One of the most important lessons in life that you should know is to remember to have an attitude of gratitude, of humility, understand where the gift comes from,” Washington advised.

The actor assured the young men that everything he’s done, “It’s not mine, it’s been given to me by the grace of God.”

He encouraged everyone to use what they have “to help others,” as he said he has done.

“You’ll never see a U-haul behind a hearse,” Washington assured. “Egyptians tried. What did they get? They got robbed!”

Washington often uses his U-haul analogy. He shared it during his commencement address at the University of Pennsylvania in 2011.

Washington expounded on the quote in a 2014 conversation with young actors posted on actor Tyrese Gibson’s Facebook page.

“You’ll never see a U-Haul behind a hearse. Now, I’ve been blessed to make hundreds of millions of dollars in my life. I can’t take it with me, and neither can you. It’s not how much you have but what you do with what you have,” he told the actors.

In a 2017 interview with The Christian Post, Washington shared part of his Christian testimony, saying that when he was 20 years old, “it was prophesied that I would travel the world and preach to millions of people. I thought it was through my work and it has been.”

“My mother said to me, when I was 59, she said, ‘Denzel, you do a lot of good. You have to do good the right way, and you know what I’m talking about,’” Washington continued. “I don’t drink anymore; I don’t do any of those things. I’m all about the message, to the degree that I know it, and I’m unashamed and unafraid to share it!”

“So you have to be unafraid and unashamed to share it in the way your millennial generation knows how,” he told this CP reporter at the time.

In September 2021, Washington was among the featured speakers at “The Better Man Event” hosted by First Baptist Orlando. He engaged in a sit-down discussion with one of his spiritual mentors, Pastor A.R. Bernard of the Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn, New York.

“In every prayer, all I hear is: ‘Feed my sheep.’ That’s what God wants me to do,” Washington, a father of three, shared.

The actor said his response is often, “What’s that mean?” But “what I found out in the last couple of years is there are all kinds of sheep.”

“So that’s why I talk to experienced shepherds to help guide me,” he said.

Ichabod has actually taken place.

Netflix’s New Movie ‘The Starling’ Promotes Hope To The Grieving – Director

The Oscar-nominated filmmaker behind the hit movie Hidden Figures says he hopes his newest project — Netflix’s The Starling — gives viewers a sense of hope no matter what they are facing in life.

The film tells the story of a husband and wife grieving the sudden death of their infant child.

It stars Chris O’Dowd (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Get Shorty) and Melissa McCarthy (Mike & Molly) as a couple who are mourning in dramatically different ways. He has been confined to a psychiatric hospital after attempting suicide, while she has focused on her work to ignore the emotional pain.

The Starling (PG-13) was directed by Theodore Melfi, who previously received two Oscar nominations for Hidden Pictures, which he directed and co-wrote. (The nominations were for Best Picture and Best Screenplay.)

“I hope that [viewers will] realize that no matter what … trauma or grief or bad situation we go through, there’s always a way out,” Melfi said. “There’s always a way to the other side. There is always light at the proverbial end of the tunnel. Keep going. Fight for yourself and for others, and at the end of the day, you can get through.”

Melfi initially read the script about eight years ago and says he was immediately moved by the plot, which he describes as a story about a couple facing an “insurmountable” problem.

“You watch the beginning of the movie and say … ‘There’s no way they can get out of this.'”

McCarthy’s character needs therapy but is “barreling through life and trying to run away from her grief, which is not going to work,” Melfi said. O’Dowd’s character — a schoolteacher — believes the tragedy is “too much” to face.

A third character, Larry Fine (Kevin Kline), is an ex-therapist-turned-veterinarian who befriends McCarthy’s character and helps her heal.

The movie, he said, is about hope.

The Starling 2021 Movie Promotes Hope To The Grieving

It gets its name from a starling bird that lives in her backyard and attacks her whenever she gardens. At one point, the veterinarian operates on the bird.

Melfi calls the bird the “titular character” that delivers the “proverbial knock on your door that says, ‘Stop and deal with your stuff.'”

Generosity also is a major theme in the movie. Fine volunteers his time and act as a therapist to McCarthy’s character, even though he is a veterinarian. McCarthy, for her part, dutifully visits her husband in the hospital, even when he shows no signs of healing.

“We have to remember our generosity – our humanity. We’re on this planet to be of service. I don’t care what your religious, political or social belief is. We’re ultimately on this planet to be of service to our fellow men and our fellow woman. And yet we forget that, because we become so myopically addicted to our own lives,” Melfi said. “… The most important thing is being of service because, in that service, you find yourself,”

The Starling is rated PG-13 for thematic material, some strong language, and suggestive material.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear a bid by a Catholic hospital in California to avoid a lawsuit over its refusal to let its facilities be used to perform a hysterectomy on a transgender patient who sought the procedure as a part of gender transition from female to male.

The justices turned away an appeal by Mercy San Juan Medical Center, a Sacramento-area hospital owned by Dignity Health, and let stand a lower court ruling that revived Evan Minton’s lawsuit accusing it of intentionally discriminating against him in violation of California law because he is transgender.

The justices on Monday also bolstered a Roman Catholic-led challenge to a New York state requirement that health insurance policies provided by employers cover abortion services.

The justices told a lower court to reconsider its decision to throw out a bid by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany and other plaintiffs to widen an existing religious exemption to a 2017 state regulation that requires health insurance policies to cover “medically necessary” abortions.

Conservative Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito and Neil Gorsuch said they would have taken up both cases for argument.

In the California case, the hospital said it does not discriminate against transgender patients, but does not allow its facilities to be used for certain procedures including abortion, sterilization and euthanasia, which it contends are contrary to Catholic teachings.

The hospital in 2016 had initially scheduled Minton’s hysterectomy – surgical removal of the uterus – but cancelled it after learning the reason Minton wanted it, according to the lawsuit.

U.S. Supreme Court Rules Transgender Patient Can Sue The Catholic Hospital

The hospital let Minton’s physician perform the procedure at a different facility in its system a few days later.

Minton sued in state court, accusing the hospital of violating a California civil rights law that prohibits discrimination by business establishments, including hospitals, based on race, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity.

After a trial judge ruled against Minton, a California appeals court in 2019 revived the case, rejecting the hospital’s argument that forcing it to perform procedures contrary to its religious beliefs would violate its right under the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment to the free exercise of religion.

“This case poses a profound threat to faith-based health care institutions’ ability to advance their healing ministries consistent with the teachings of their faith,” the hospital told the justices in a court filing.

Minton said the hysterectomy was medically necessary to treat gender dysphoria, which the American Psychiatric Association defines as “clinically significant distress” due to a conflict between a person’s gender identity and sex assigned at birth.

The hospital routinely performs hysterectomies on non-transgender patients to treat other issues, such as chronic pelvic pain or uterine fibroids, Minton told the justices in a legal filing.

Pelosi – House Will Try To Overturn Texas Abortion Ban Into Law 

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi announced today, Thursday, 3rd September 2021, that Congress will vote on a controversial pro-choice bill that would legalize abortion “without limitations” nationwide.

She added that this would overturn hundreds of state-level abortion restrictions, including Texas’ fetal heartbeat ban.

Pelosi (D-Calif.) made the remarks hours after the Supreme Court, in a 5-4 vote, refused to block the Texas law, which arguably is the most significant abortion restriction since the high court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.

Pelosi asserted it is the “most extreme, dangerous abortion ban in half a century.”

“This ban necessitates codifying Roe v. Wade,” Pelosi said. “Upon our return, the House will bring up Congresswoman Judy Chu’s Women’s Health Protection Act to enshrine into law reproductive health care for all women across America.”

The Women’s Health Protection Act, if passed, would codify Roe v. Wade into law – thus guaranteeing legalized abortion even if the Supreme Court were to overturn the landmark decision.

The text of the bill says its purpose is to “permit health care providers to provide abortion services without limitations or requirements.” The bill’s legislative findings note that nearly 500 abortions restrictions have passed on the local and state level since 2011.

The bill explicitly says it “supersedes” all state laws.

Under the bill, abortion laws and regulations are illegal if they “do not significantly advance reproductive health or the safety of abortion services.” For a law to be legal, it cannot “make abortion services more difficult to access,” the bill says. Further, the bill says, abortion laws and regulations cannot “single out” abortion services with restrictions “that are more burdensome than those restrictions imposed on medically comparable procedures.”

A new Texas law requires doctors to conduct a test for a fetal heartbeat. If one is detected, then the doctor is prohibited from performing an abortion. It allows exceptions for medical emergencies.

Further, the text of the law prohibits state officials from enforcing the law. Instead, it allows a citizen to sue anyone who “performs or induces an abortion” or “knowingly engages in conduct that aids or abets the performance or inducement of an abortion.” The law allows civil damages of at least $10,000 for each suit.

“This provision is a cynical, backdoor attempt by partisan lawmakers to evade the Constitution and the law to destroy not only a woman’s right to health care but potentially any right or protection that partisan lawmakers target,” Pelosi said.

When you ask a lady for the kind of man they want they most times say God-fearing but in an actual sense don’t understand or mean that.

Know Your response under pressure, know your choices amidst options, know your Flaws in progressive actions. Know what you stand for, Know where you get things wrong. Not just what you eat or drink and all know the vital things you overlook. Are you reasonable in your disposition? Compassionate? Correctable? Teachable? Responsible t? Accountable? Know these things.

Know your driving force, Know your goals and a vision for your life, career and marriage.

Also, Know yourself, know your plan and be ready to defend it anywhere. When you know yourself and know where you get things wrong, you’re a step away from being a better person. Know yourself and don’t give your partner the headache of trying to figure out who you are when you don’t even know…

The knowledge of your partner goes a long way to having a successful marriage. There are so many things you should know before marriage that would be vital in the marriage:

Goals; Know the plan and vision for that partner of yours. Do you fit into it? Does he or she have any? Know their ambitions, dreams, aspirations. Know their mission and position bout the journey you are about to embark on. Singles must have a concrete plan about their life and not just live on assumption. Ask questions like how many children? what’s your plan? How do you want to achieve this?  RUN away from those who don’t know anything about themselves.

Choices; Everyone has what they prefer or admire or appreciate and fantasize. Know what makes your partner smile and what he or she is ready to stand for or stand by.   Like their opinion on issues and their verdict.   • 3. Know Their Family 

Marriage is between two people true, but the truth is it’s between two families, upbringings, culture or beliefs. People say it’s just me and you against the world to an extent it sounds cool but in reality, it’s not so. Families make you what you are and who you reflect on where you come from.

The choice you make to do better than your background is because of the background you come from. Indirectly we are products of the background. You either choose to be like them or not to be like them.

Know the family your partner is coming from. Their ways of life, belief, culture and so on. That Man has been in that setting for ⅓ of his lifetime and would reflect in the long run if you don’t know about it.  Know the family that raised your wife and how things are done. Don’t be carried away, until things are settled don’t assume.

Don’t think like the 21st century in this regard because marriages have even failed more in this time than in the last centuries. Know the family get close to them, don’t make enmity with them before you settle down with their seed.

There would of course be times when they would give you issues normal, but don’t start a fight before the journey. Don’t stay away before the Journey. You might learn this that would impact your decision.

  • 4. Know Their Friends 

Friends are the active counsellors, playmates and pals of your partner. They often times know them better than you. Because they have been with them before you even came on board. They’ve been there through multiple partners who have shown seriousness and ended up in crashes. So they know what you don’t oftentimes if not all the time. Your partner might not give you all the details about their past, but trust me their friends were in it. Get to know their friends and how they roll and do things. These friends most of the time are kept even after marriage so get to know them.

  • 5. Know Their Job / Source of Income

You must know what your partner does for a living and have one or two ideas about it. People, especially men, relate with their sources of income as it serves as a life support system. Know what your partner does, have a glimpse of what it’s about, ask questions. This brings them closer to you and does not keep their job away from you. For a man to keep his job away from you is already keeping all activities in the job away from you and that’s risky.

Know their office, their business place,  their branch just to be informed. Don’t say you’re not interested in what he/she does, you will suffer for that in the long run.

  • 6. Know Their Pastor / Priest/ Mentor 

Get to know who they listen to and adorn. Who speaks and they listen and not respond but just obey. Get to know them and get close to them. Their approval and counsel are also as important as that of the family. These men and women have a huge impact on the life of your partner. They make up what they know and what they do most times because they have come to submit to their tutelage.

The church or worship centre they belong to, the fellowship they relate with are all important. If not you will have to battle between your word against that of a highly revered personality to your partner. And in most cases, you end up losing that fight. Know these people and secure that passage.

  • 7. Know The Environment / Society They Live In

The environment they live in tells you how they would relate to people outside their immediate circle. The testimony of the community is something to note. In some cases, you might be head over heels for the love and affection you get whenever you’re around but, the next neighbour knows you’re not the only one that feels that way. The same goes for the guys.

Not being a spy but play safe, be smart, be a nice person to the neighbour of your partner. Don’t discuss your relationship just be nice. Don’t be arrogant and proud towards them.

If you’re one of the many that floods the house, you might just be saved by that neighbour just because you are nice.  This is not to discourage you but it’s better to be happily single than regrettably married.

Marriage is beautiful, blissful, divine when certain principles are followed.

New York Health Care Workers Challenge COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate

Several healthcare workers have filed a federal lawsuit against New York’s COVID-19 vaccine for healthcare workers, citing Governor Kathy Hochul’s recent remarks at a Brooklyn megachurch where she called for a push for more vaccinations.

According to Press Connects, the lawsuit was filed by two doctors, a nurse and a scientist, from Lourdes hospital in Albany federal court last Friday. The healthcare workers, who are all Catholic, have also garnered support from Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is the founder and chairman of the anti-vaccine advocacy group, Children’s Health Defense.

All four employees sought a religious exemption from taking the COVID-19 vaccine because it utilizes fetal cell tissues in research and development. In response, they argued that taking the shot would be committing a “grave sin” against their Catholic faith.

The suit, filed by lead attorney Sujata Gibson of Ithaca, uses Hochuls’ remarks from Sept. 26 at the Christian Cultural Center, where she told the congregation to be her “apostles” in urging others to get vaccinated.

“I need you to be my apostles. I need you to go out and talk about it and say, we owe this to each other,” Hochul said at the time. “We love each other. Jesus taught us to love one another, and how do you show that love but to care about each other enough to say, please get the vaccine”

She also commended the church members for being the “smart ones” in getting the jab, while describing the vaccine-hesitant as those who “aren’t listening to God and what God wants.”

The lawsuit argues the governor’s actions and comments are an infringement on the plaintiff’s religious liberty.

“Governor Hochul’s statements and actions irreparably violate the line separating church and state,” the lawsuit states. “Our democracy is seriously endangered if this type of rhetoric, reckless disregard for federal court orders, and persecution of religious minorities is allowed to occur unchecked.”

On Sept. 13, as reported by The Christian Post, a separate lawsuit was filed by 17 Christian healthcare workers, as well as several doctors, who are also seeking religious exemptions from the vaccine mandate. In response, a federal judge issued a temporary restraining order against the New York state health department from rejecting religious exemptions to the mandate.

A week after the order was issued, an extension was given until a hearing on Oct 12, where the case will be discussed.

The Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, has officially named the wife of late Prophet Temitope Balogun, aka T.B Joshua’s wife, Evelyn, as the new leader of the church.

SCOAN said the church activities would be under the guidance of God and leadership of Mrs Evlyn Joshua.

In a statement on its verified Facebook page, SCOAN urged members and followers to pray for Mrs Evelyn as she takes on her new role.

Meanwhile, there have been reports of leadership tussle in the church following the death of TB Joshua.

The alleged tussle had led to the eviction of some disciples of the late prophet from the church premises.

Gov. Kristi Noem, on Tuesday, signed an executive order restraining telemedicine abortions and restricting chemical abortions in the state.

“The Biden Administration is working right now to make it easier to end the life of an unborn child via telemedicine abortion,” Noem said in a press release. “That is not going to happen in South Dakota.”

“I will continue working with the legislature and my Unborn Child Advocate to ensure that South Dakota remains a strong pro-life state,” the Republican governor added.

 Kristi Noem Signs Executive Order Barring Telemedicine Abortions

The legislation, known as Executive Order 2021-12, restricts telemedicine abortions in several ways. For instance, abortion drugs may only be prescribed and dispensed in person by a state-licensed physician following an in-person examination.

The executive order also prohibits abortion-inducing drugs from being administered in schools or on state grounds and requires licensed physicians to ensure the proper administration of Informed Consent laws.

Under the new law, the state’s Department of Health must also create rules against telemedicine and chemical abortions, The Christian Post reports.

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the national pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List, commended the order, calling it a “bold action that will save lives.”

“The Biden administration would turn every post office and pharmacy into an abortion centre if they had their way, leaving women alone and at risk of severe heavy bleeding, physical, emotional, and psychological stress, and more,” Dannenfelser said in a statement. “States must take action.

Governor Noem is setting a courageous model today that we hope more state leaders across the nation will soon follow.”

On the other hand, Kristin Hayward of Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota called the executive order an attack on abortion rights.

“Planned Parenthood will always stand up for patients and communities,” Hayward said, according to USA Today. “We know most South Dakotans support the right to safe, legal abortion, but Noem is following a vocal minority that is attacking abortion, contraception, and comprehensive sexual education in this country.”

In January, as Christian Headlines previously reported, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed an executive order banning telemedicine abortions and prohibiting women from taking abortion pills outside the presence of a physician.

Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion. It is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ. When you start out, you start out as a baby. You must be fed on the simple things of the Bible, and you learn to walk in your Christian life gradually. At first, you will fall down and make many mistakes, but you are to continue growing. However, there are many people who have stopped growing. They remain spiritual babes, all their lives.

A Texas abortion doctor who had admitted to violating the state’s new heartbeat abortion ban was sued twice Monday in what is believed to be the first true court challenge within the confines of the law.

The plaintiffs, though, are anything but typical. According to CNN, both say they oppose the law and had filed suit only because they want a judge to overturn it, the Dallas Morning News reported.

Former attorneys from Arkansas and Illinois filed the suits.

The doctor, Alan Braid, had penned a Washington Post column explaining how he violated the law by performing an abortion on Sept. 6 on a woman carrying an unborn baby with a beating heart. Braid said he had a “duty to the patient.”

Abortion Doctor In Attempt to Overturn Texas Heartbeat Ban Faces Charges

The Texas law, which went into effect on Sept. 1, requires doctors to test for a fetal heartbeat and prohibits an abortion if one is detected. The law gives enforcement power to private citizens in the form of lawsuits.

The law is known as the Texas Heartbeat Act.

Texas Right to Life, which supports the law, labelled the two suits “bogus.”

“Neither of these lawsuits is valid attempts to save innocent human lives,” Texas Right to Life said. “Both cases are self-serving legal stunts, abusing the cause of action created in the Texas Heartbeat Act for their own purposes. We believe Braid published his op-ed intending to attract imprudent lawsuits, but none came from the Pro-Life movement.”

Braid began working as a doctor in 1972, one year before the Supreme Court handed down its Roe decision.

“I understand that by providing an abortion beyond the new legal limit, I am taking a personal risk, but it’s something I believe in strongly,” Braid wrote.

Meanwhile, in a separate case, a federal judge will hear arguments on Oct. 1 in the Biden administration’s challenge to the law.

Pro-life activists estimate that the law is saving between 130 and 150 unborn lives a day.
