MESSAGE

Passion has been confirmed to be a major pointer to purpose and destiny. And one characteristic of passion is that it makes you restless and almost ‘useless’ until solutions to the problems of men are provided. When you have a God-given passion, you are useless in every other agenda or assignment, except in the area of your passion.

Some time ago, someone asked me about the level of my passion for God as a young medical doctor. I made the person to understand that as a young medical doctor, I was restless for God. I was so personally attached to the patients. If I saw a patient on Friday and I came back to the hospital on Monday to do a ward rounds and the bed was empty,

I would ask what happened to that patient. If I was told that the patient gasped for breath on Sunday night and eventually gave up, I would be totally devastated and restless for the rest of the week. My wife felt it because she had to bear the brunt of my burdened mood most of the time.

Whenever God places a passion in your heart, it comes with a dimension of agitation and restlessness. Now, such passion may not just be for Ministry; it may be for anything else you are called to do. And you are restless and useless in any other area until that which is your calling is achieved. When you are passionate, you are restless and focused on your passion until a solution is provided.
