PRAY – Engage God in prayer before you embark on your interviews days before going. Once you have secured a date for the interview, pray towards it. You have handled the spiritual aspect that way.
STUDY: You must make due diligence and research on possible areas that you may be questioned about. 15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. – 2 Tim. 2:15
FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS: Every interview has its rules and regulations, dos and don’ts you must adhere to, even after praying if you disobey the instructions you are up for an unlikely outcome. Whatever the interviewer demands such as documents, or files should be adhered to. Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams” (1 Sam. 15:22).
PUNCTUALITY: When you are to attend an interview, get to the venue early, and be composed or relaxed even before the scheduled time. When you arrive late, you are destabilized and rusty. Please Rise Up early!!
2. BE CONFIDENT AND POSITIVE: This is also quite crucial if we want to succeed in job interviews. Your faith may enable the impossible, and your self-assurance can go a long way toward helping you land the job at the interview. Believe fervently in yourself and in God. Aman who identified himself as a former pastor of the Living Faith Church International, popularly known as Winners Chapel, Peter Godwin, says he was sacked by the church for not generating enough money in his branch.
Godwin in a trending video said he was employed on the 28th of August, 2020.
He claimed he was invited with about forty of his colleagues by the state pastor on July 1, 2021, and were all sacked over low income in their branches.

He said, “Actually, by the special grace of God, our father in this great assembly, Living Faith Church received a mandate from the Lord to plant 10,000 churches in Nigeria and by the special grace of God, I was privileged to be one of the pastors that were employed on the 28th of August, 2020, that was last year.
“So after that, I started working, engaging myself in the work of the Lord. I tried my possible best to make sure I win souls for Christ but unfortunately, on the 1st of July, I received a call that the state pastor wants to see me, so I thought I was the only one. I was surprised, so I went to his office.
“When I got there, I saw other pastors too, over 40 of them, so I joined them. A few minutes later, we were issued a letter. I opened the content of the letter to see what was there and I saw that it was a sack letter.
“The content of the letter says ‘Consequent upon the recent performance review which revealed that your church growth index falls below expectation. Please be informed that your service as the pastor in charge is no longer required in this commission with immediate effect. You are to vacate your official accommodation and hand over all properties including the official ID card to the area pastor before departure.

In a post made by the TB Joshua Ministries on Facebook, they have invited the whole Emmanuel TV family worldwide to join them in a series of services aimed at celebrating the prophet’s life, from 5th of July to 11th of July 2021.
The details of the special services for remembrance and burial of Prophet TB Joshua follows as below;
Candlelight procession has been scheduled for Monday, July 5th, and is envisioned to be a private service. However, viewers of Emmanuel TV can join the live procession from anywhere across the world.
On Tuesday, July 6th, an all-day tribute service will hold at the Synagogue Church of All Nation’s headquarters in Lagos state. This is an opportunity for followers to share a tribute or testimony about how God touched their lives through prophet TB Joshua, either in person or through a video.

London Pastor Arrested for Sermon on Marriage: ‘I Was Only Saying What the Bible Says’- Last week, a pastor was arrested in London after he delivered a public sermon on the biblical definition of marriage out of Genesis 1.
John Sherwood, who is 71 and the pastor of a north London church, was arrested April 23 in the centre of Uxbridge, London, under the Public Order Act for making “allegedly homophobic comments,” according to The Daily Mail.
A video shows him standing on top of a step stool before being handcuffed and led away by police as a crowd watched. One person can be heard gasping in shock.
“For a man preaching about Christianity!” a woman says in the video, critical of police action.
“I wasn’t making any homophobic comments, I was just defining marriage as a relationship between a man and a woman,” he said, according to The Daily Mail.

Christian Concern, a UK-based organization that defends people of faith, criticized the arrest. Police had received three complaints about Sherwood, Christian Concern said.
The organization called it a “brutal arrest.”
“There is an idea that if people are offended, you should arrest someone, but in this country, we also have freedom of speech,” Andrea Williams of Christian Concern told The Daily Mail.
Sherwood was arrested after preaching “on the final verses in Genesis 1, where it says that God created mankind in his own image,” Christian Concern reported.
Peter Simpson, the pastor of Penn Free Methodist Church in Buckinghamshire and a friend of Sherwood, also defended the minister.
“Everything he said was Bible-based,” Simpson said, according to The Daily Mail. “He was not saying anything abusive; he is a Christian minister. There did not seem to be any recognition from the police that Christian ministers and such views exist. If there was a Pride parade in Uxbridge, the police would support it even if Christians were offended. You don’t have to be an evangelical Christian to be shocked by this. Bowen University Student Dies During Devotion, Father Reacts
Kassim Lawani has accused the management of Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, of lying about the circumstances surrounding the death of his 19-year-old daughter, Precious.
Precious was admitted for a Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board programme in the institution.
Barely a month after her resumption of studies, Kassim said the varsity chaplain, one Dr Larry, led a delegation to his house in the Rumukwurushi area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to break the news of his daughter’s death to him.
The Bowen Varsity delegates claimed that Precious died shortly after she was found convulsing in the hostel due to an illness that prevented her from leading prayers during the morning devotion.
He also stated that the delegates indicated the varsity’s readiness to take care of her burial expenses.
Our correspondent learnt that the family agreed with the proposed burial arrangement, but demanded an autopsy to ascertain the cause of the teenager’s death.

Her father said the matter took another turn when the family visited the school.
“While our relatives were talking to some of my daughter’s colleagues who witnessed the incident, they said Precious actually led the prayer on a fateful day, and that while all of them closed their eyes in prayers, they heard a loud bang.
“As they quickly opened their eyes, they discovered that Precious had fallen some meters below a narrow corridor in front of the hostel, where the prayer session was being held.
“As the students rushed down to see what might have happened, they discovered that she had a cracked skull; she was eventually taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead,” he added.
An autopsy report obtained by our correspondent revealed that the victim died from “intracranial haemorrhage, skull fracture, blunt force trauma to the head.”
The time and date of death were stated as 7am, December 5, 2020.

“They volunteered to bury her in the school cemetery with all expenses to be taken care of by the school. We were in shock and had no choice, but to agree. We had no reason whatsoever to doubt the school.

“However, the mystery, the disparities, the lies, and the suspected cover-up by the school on the real cause of Precious’ death opened up the real reason for the school’s actions.
“Bowen University never wanted us to discover the real cause of my daughter’s death. It chose not to call us immediately after she died because we would have visited the school and upon discovering her cracked skull would have demanded answers,” an enraged Kassim added.
A spokesman for Bowen University, Toba Adaramola, said the management would react later.

Pastor Dare, my husband was a wonderful person. He was amazing in every sense of the way.
I do not mourn him at all, I weep because he left me. He slept, he did not die and I know, I am sure, because on the Resurrection morning, he will rise again and we will see him in glory.
I am sure because he was saved. I am sure because he believed in Christ. His salvation was sure, it was certain. He said, “if I die today, I know I am fulfilled. I’ve done what the Lord has asked me to do.” He was not afraid of death. He was not afraid. It is not a matter of how short, it is not a matter of time, but how well and He lived well.
He lived a good life, He lived to the glory of God. He lived, he served God. His life was dedicated to Christ and that is why I am sure that he is in Heaven.

I am sure that he made it. I want to say brethren today if you are not sure of your salvation if you are not sure you sleep tonight you might not wake up tomorrow. You are not sure of where you will be in eternity. You have not given your life to Christ at all. If you are here today, you heard and perhaps you just came to see: Yes, It’s true, he is sleeping in the Lord. But are you sure of yourself? Are you sure of where you will be? Are you sure of eternity?
You haven’t given your life to Christ or perhaps you did and took it back from Him, I want you to raise your right hand this evening. If you are not sure of your salvation, you are not sure you are going to sleep in the Lord, you are not sure of where you are going to end up! You are afraid to die because you are not living a holy life, if you are afraid to die because you are not saved because the devil is still in control of your life, I want you to raise your right hand up this evening.

New ‘Video Bible’ App That Illustrates God’s Word And Makes Scripture More Appealing
Coming Soon is A new Christian Bible platform known as The Video Bible is being created and plans are in the works to one day launch it as a mobile app through a crowdfunded collaborative initiative that aims to fully illustrate Scripture.
The app will create illustrations depicting the events told on every page of the Bible from start to finish in just over three years — a visual venture that its founder says has never been done before.
Founded by Dave Pillow, the platform is designed with the hope of spreading the Gospel to listeners and viewers that are too young to read or for older people who are unable to read a physical Bible. The app will also help those who struggle with reading and processing disabilities.
The audio-and-visual-focused platform is also intended for those who want to add something “unique” to their time engaging with Scripture, Pillow told The Christian Post.
“We have a heart for the Church around the world. We have a heart for the Lord, and we felt called to this,” Pillow said in an interview. “I think we want people to know Jesus better and that God loves them. We saw there was a need, and so we wanted to give people better access to God’s Word.”

Though the launch date has not yet been set, The Video Bible will be available as an app on major device platforms, according to Pillow.
For now, The Video Bible can be found on Youtube and on the platform’s website. Additionally, the YouVersion app has published some of the platform’s content.
Already, Pillow said, people of all ages and abilities are using the website and watching the YouTube versions of the platform.
“Many people who are dyslexic and have literacy problems, as well as people who don’t have that but prefer audio, are using The Video Bible. My neighbor said when you get older, it’s harder to concentrate. So, it’s helping her,” Pillow explained. “This resonates with everyone. I think that in a video-driven world, it gives people the chance to engage the Bible in the way they address the media.”

According to Pillow, 75 million people, or 20% of the United States population, are limited in their reading abilities, while 35 million people have dyslexia, making it harder to process written words. For 54.1 million senior citizens, reading is increasingly tricky, and nearly one-third of the U.S. population has limited ability to experience the message of the written Bible.

“When your brain processes things differently, it’s hard to read the world. People with learning disabilities are often seen differently,” Pillow said. “God wanted them to see and interact with the world in a different way and they should have the ability to engage and read God’s plan in His Word just like anyone else. We have gotten overwhelmingly positive reactions on YouTube and on the website. I think when it becomes an app, it will grow even more communities of believers because people can come together and listen and watch together on phones and other devices.”
The project has received support from various groups, including Biblica, YouVersion and The Gospel Coalition.
Biblica has provided the New International Version of the Bible in several languages for The Video Bible, including English, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Arabic and Portuguese. Pillow said he and his team plan to talk to other ministries that have audio Bibles in other languages to garner more translations for the platform.
“The Lord laid this on my heart, and my friends helped me with it. We have a host of artists and theologians and pastors that will work to make this happen. It’s a joint effort,” said Pillow. “I definitely love Jesus. I’m more about the relationship with Him more than anything.”

Pillow became a Christian amid a “painful” experience when he was hospitalized for a brain condition in the past. During that time, he felt the Lord was with him through it all and instructed him to create The Video Bible platform.
At first, Pillow said he was hesitant and questioned if he could do what God called him to create.
“I was dwelling in my weakness because I thought it wouldn’t work and that people wouldn’t help me. I was like Moses. And in every objection I made, the Lord showed me it’s possible,” Pillow recounted. “I would say that making this platform come to life has grown my faith, and it continues to grow my faith because the Lord chooses ‘the weak to shame the shameful things of this world and foolish things of this world.’”
Pillow said he decided to walk in obedience to God and begin creating The Video Bible.
“I was thinking I’m a broken person that is not equipped for this. But, I soon realized that I’m surrounded by other parts of the Body of Christ, and I’m not called to be every part,” he said. “I’m one piece of glass in a whole stained glass window. And we have so many people helping who are talented and gifted in many areas. I’m called to do my part and they theirs.”

“It will impact many people because the Bible is God’s active word that is going to impact them. The Bible promises that it will impact them if they use it, so we take the Bible at its word. We hope that it can reach all audiences. We want to be true to God and God’s Word,” Pillow continued.
Speaking on his hopes for the platform’s future, Pillow told CP that he has many plans for what The Video Bible will offer when available as a mobile app.
“We are set apart from other Bible platforms because we won’t provide commentaries because our platform is actually just the Bible. But we will have illustrations on every page, which has never been done before,” Pillow said. “I would love to have multiple actors speaking and reading the Bible. We want those options to increase, and we also want its graphic presentation to increase by becoming more elaborate and three-dimensional.”
“Absolutely continue to read your handheld Bible,” he added. “The audio Bible doesn’t replace the written Bible. It enhances it. It’s an additional way to connect to God.”

Gospel Artists Reacts To Brady ‘Phanatik’ Goodwin Denouncing Jesus Christ & Faith
Brady “Phanatik” Goodwin, one of the founding members of the groundbreaking rap group The Cross Movement, stated last week that he is no longer a Christian and does not believe in the Bible. His Christian rap colleagues are reacting to his departure and Bible criticism.
Goodwin, an emcee and apologetics teacher, claimed in a 24-minute video released on Jan. 17 that he is leaving Christianity but avoided delving into too much detail.
In a Facebook video announcement, Goodwin, also known as “Phanatik,” said, “I submitted a letter to my church revoking my membership and announcing that I am abandoning the Christian faith that I have believed, professed, proclaimed, and defended for the last 30 years of my life.”
In the video, he calmly recounted that his doubts began while he was a student at Lancaster Bible College and grew stronger in 2014 while he was a student at Westminster Theological Seminary, where everything began to fall apart.

“I started looking at faith and thinking, ‘Man, you could flip this Rubik’s cube any way and come out with a different idea.’ And who is to say whether a person’s understanding is correct or incorrect?’ Goodwin was perplexed.
The Christian rap pioneer shared that he turned to science and found many things in the Bible that he could not reconcile. Upon the release of his video, fans of faith-based hip-hop were devastated by the news. In response, Goodwin’s former Cross Movement group members made public statements and defended the faith that they once all held so dear.

Also a founding member of The Cross Movement, William “The Ambassador” Branch, took to YouTube with a long dialogue, using several passages in the Bible to respond to Goodwin’s renunciation. He shared the history of The Cross Movement and specifically addressed some of the things his old friend shared in the video.
“We love him, and I’m talking about Jesus, and at the time Phanatik was right with us, and Phanatik deemed and claimed with us,” Branch said, speaking of when they all first became professing Christians in the 1990s.
“Now, we’re going to start talking about I don’t believe the source that talks about Him, the Bible? Remember, Phanatik’s video was about him having some issues with the scriptures as though the scriptures lied to him. But what about meeting Him?” Branch inquired. “What about what you experienced? What about the One you had been walking with? Who were you talking to?”

Branch, who serves as assistant professor of preaching and Bible for The College at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, said he believes Satan is causing his former group member to forget his authentic experiences with God.
“I know the devil will make us have revisionist history,” he said, then illustrated, “‘I guess I was talking to thin air. The answers to prayer, I guess they were figments of my imagination. The provisions that came when I called the name of Jesus, I guess that was all coincidence or luck.’”
“No!” he added. “If you met the Lord Jesus, why turn from Him? If you knew the Lord Jesus intimately, not just mentally but intimately, How can you abandon Him? He’s real, and then you loved Him, even though you don’t see Him? Even though science may not affirm Him, even though historians may not affirm the biblical revelation of Him, you met Him!”
Goodwin responded to Branch’s video on Facebook, saying that if his friend “had endeavored to hear my heart like I asked instead of consistently taking the debate route,” he would not have misunderstood him.
John “The Tonic” Wells, another member of The Cross Movement, posted a 10-minute video response to fans of the movement as a word of encouragement.

“I want to encourage you today about something that you may not be thinking about,” he said on Instagram. “[The Cross Movement] doesn’t all orbit around him. There’s other people still here standing firm in the faith, a lot of us.”
Wells said that the movement’s faith does not rest in the hands of Goodwin.
“That very same group, the initiators of that movement, there’s about seven others who are still in place. Amazingly, you probably haven’t thought about a brother by the name of Juan James — ‘Enock’ — who was a member of The Cross Movement too, who up until he passed away, he still professed Jesus Christ and the God of the Bible. And now he’s basking in the presence of our Lord. Be encouraged by that!” he inspired.
Wells brought up DJ Official, a beloved Hip-Hop musician who was a part of The Cross Movement and later the 116 clique whose real name is Nelson J. Chu. Chu passed away in 2016.
“He faced a lot of trial and tribulation in his life,” Wells said of Chu. “Especially toward the end of his life — sickness in his body and suffered in ways that some of us probably would never imagine. But even with all the sickness and things racking him, you could imagine the challenges and the doubts that he had. Up until he took his last breath, he still professed Jesus Christ as Lord, the God of the Bible.”
Wells noted that other members — Earthquake, Tru Life and Cruz Cordero — are all still strong in their faiths as well.
“Myself, [I’m] still a servant of Jesus Christ and determined more than ever to serve Him with my last breath,” Wells testified. “So I’m telling you more than be discouraged, be encouraged. We still stand firm. Our God is still securely on the throne.”

“Unfortunately, the place that Brady is right now, he wants to walk you through some stuff and cause doubt. I don’t think he’s meaning to injure people. He’s just in a place where he doesn’t realize the damage that’s being done. But he wants you too to doubt; he wants you too to come along with him,” Wells added.
“I’ll tell you like I told him, he can’t have you all. You all belong to Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith.”
Wells stressed that no one can rely on science as science can not explain why people yawn. He ended his message by saying It’s not over for Goodwin.
“The story isn’t over! I believe in something called perseverance of the saints. I believe salvation is of God. He’s the author and the finisher of it,” Wells declared. “He preserves us and seals us to the day of redemption. So I believe the story, Brady’s still alive, so it’s not ow
In recent years, some notable Christian figures have deconstructed from Christianity altogether after experiencing doubts.
In a recent interview with The Christian Post after Goodwin’s announcement, Grammy Award-winning rapper Lecrae admits that he also had to do some soul searching after feeling so abused by fellow Christians in 2017.

That season almost made him walk away from his Christian faith. However, the rapper sought out on a journey to reconstruct his faith. Now his relationship with Christ is stronger than ever.
“A few people that I know this year, who’ve been professing Christians for years, have decided they no longer claim Christianity,” Lecrae told CP, speaking of why he posted a recent tweet about deconstructing from “politicized” and “corporatized” modern church culture.
“I just thought to myself, ‘Man, I know that feeling.’ But sometimes we throw the baby out with the bathwater, and I wanted to just encourage people that, ‘Hey, I know where you’re [at], what you’re feeling. But sometimes the problem is not with the faith; it’s with the distortions of the faith,’” he assured
Popular God Over Money/ The Menace Movement rapper Datin has been personally impacted by Goodwin and stated that he was really “sad and disappointed” to hear the news.
“I consider Brady a friend. He, himself, may not even realize how much he has impacted me. But this man has been somebody I looked up [to] for a very long time,” Datin, who recently became an ordained pastor, shared with The Christian Post.
“He was the first established Christian rapper that embraced me and poured into me when I came to Christ and started writing Christian music.”

Datin said not only was he edified by Goodwin’s Christian music, but he also learned from him as they conversed while working on an album together. Even after the album was complete, they remained friends and kept in touch.
However, Datin noticed a change.
“In more recent times, I’ve kind of sensed him taking this new direction. The nature of his post on Facebook were very telling,” the New Jersey native continued. “If you had been paying attention, he has been alluding to this departure from Christianity for a few years now.”
“In September of 2021, he was in Florida and came by my church to watch me preach,” Datin detailed. “After the service, I asked him how he had been and mentioned that I noticed a change in the content of his post on Facebook. He confirmed that there was a change but didn’t get into detail. So when he announced his departure from the faith, I was not surprised at all, but that didn’t make the confirmation of it any less disappointing or sad for me.”
Datin, who has a huge following in Christian Hip-hop, proclaimed his stance in God.

Another artist who considers Goodwin a friend is Kingdom Choice Award-winning emcee David Veira.
The New York rapper told CP: “I know Phanatik personally and spoke to him many times online. He always showed me love and support. As far as him renouncing Christianity, I’m really sorry to hear this.”
“I know from studying the Bible, Paul was one that persecuted the Church until he had an encounter with Jesus. After Paul’s encounter, he was on fire for Jesus because he met Him. That’s the same for me. I met Jesus in my misery, and I know for a fact He’s real, and that’s not just from me reading the Bible, it’s from me personally meeting Him and experiencing Him taking my personal issues and turning it around,” he attested.
Veira ended by saying that he too is “hoping my Brother meets Jesus in this situation and He answers all the questions he has that cause him to doubt.”

Upon seeing the responses online, Goodwin instructed his supporters not to be upset with those responding to his announcement.
“Please don’t be upset with those making videos about me or in response to mine,” he wrote on Facebook. “Some of them are only doing what the Bible instructs good shepherds to do when they sense danger arising in or near a flock.”
He called it “group-think” or “herd mentality” human nature.
“Either way, don’t worry about me. I’m not brittle or bitter. I sleep like a well-nursed babe. I respect you too much to argue online. But I love you too much to remain silent,” he maintained. “I might add my voice to the ongoing discussion raging above the heads of most lay-Christians, most of whom (especially my ppls according to the flesh) are oblivious to it.”

Switchfoot’s Jon Foreman Reveals Support for LGBTQ+ Community In A TikTok Video
Jon Foreman, the Switchfoot Band Star, spoke in a TikTok video that he is in support of the LGBTQ community and views.
Foreman was asked about his position by Grace Semler Baldridge, a Christian artist in the LGBTQ+ community, Relevant magazine reports.
“Yes, I support your rights and freedoms. I want you to feel loved and supported,” Foreman said in the TikTok video. “Love and embrace have always been central to our story and our song. We need our differences.”
Baldridge, who is largely known as Semler to fans, said his words were very “meaningful.”
“I am interpreting what you said as being affirming,” she said. “If I am incorrect in that, then I really hope you would clarify. Because I think for many queer people of faith, the bait-and-switch of hearing such encouraging words like yours and then finding out that means something else can be heartbreaking. But I don’t think that’s you.”

Earlier this month, Semler posted a TikTok video announcing a plan to yell “gay rights” at a Switchfoot concert to see how the band would respond.
“I am a big Switchfootfan,” said Semler in the video. “While Switchfoot has always seemed like a really loving and kind band and a group of people to me, they’ve actually never come out and said that they are LGBTQ-plus affirming.”

In his own video posted to the official Switchfoot TikTok page, Foreman replied, saying, “I’m so glad that you were there last night. In fact, it breaks my heart to think that you would not be accepted” he said. “Let me correct that. You and your journey and your story are welcome at a Switchfoot show.”
In February, Semler released her album, Preacher’s Kid, and it jumped to the top of iTunes’ Christian charts. The EP is a collection of songs about her experience growing up gay in the church.
In October, she is expected to release the EP, Late Bloomer.
